Volunteer Hub Ambassador.

About the Role

Havelock Place is looking for enthusiastic and compassionate Volunteer Hub Ambassadors to support people we care for in developing confidence, independence, wellbeing, and social connections.

As a Volunteer Hub Ambassador, you will help individuals engage in meaningful activities, support cognitive development, encourage the use of technology, and act as a positive advocate for volunteering within our service. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys meeting people, making a difference, and helping others achieve their potential.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Support individuals to participate in activities that promote cognitive development, wellbeing, and independence.
• Encourage social interaction and inclusion within the service and local community.
• Help identify and promote volunteering opportunities and community engagement activities.
• Act as a positive ambassador for Havelock Place and EveryDay Care & Support.
• Support activity sessions, events, outings, and wellbeing programmes.
• Provide practical support where required, following Moving & Handling guidance and training.
• Work alongside customers ,staff, families, and other volunteers to create a welcoming and inclusive environment.
• Maintain confidentiality, dignity, respect, and safety at all times.

• No previous experience is required, as full training and support will be provided.

 

Training and Support

Volunteers will receive:

• Full induction and orientation.
• Moving & Handling training.
• Ongoing support and supervision.
• Access to relevant learning and development opportunities.
• Guidance from experienced staff and volunteer coordinators.

Time Commitment

Flexible volunteering opportunities are available. We will work with volunteers to agree days and times that suit both the volunteer and the service.
