EveryDay is proud to offer care in Extra Care Schemes across Newcastle and North Tyneside. We work in partnership with housing providers to offer care that enables independence and meets the needs of each individual.
What is an Extra Care Scheme?
Extra Care Schemes provide individuals with the independence of living in their own accommodation while offering the reassurance that trained care staff are available within the building 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and can respond quickly to changes in need.
Support can range from assistance with medication and personal care to help with daily living activities, meal preparation, mobility, and maintaining independence. As needs change over time, our team works closely with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure care plans are regularly reviewed and adapted.
Our dedicated staff are fully trained and equipped to provide a wide range of support, enabling people to live safely, independently, and with confidence, while enjoying the benefits of having care and support readily available whenever it is needed.
Havelock Place
The first of its kind in North Tyneside, Havelock Place has been thoughtfully designed to support people living with cognitive impairments to live independently, safely, and with dignity.
Developed through extensive consultation with individuals living with Dementia a cognitive impairment, their families, and carers, Havelock Place also benefits from expert guidance provided by the University of Stirling and Admiral Nurses, both recognised leaders in dementia-friendly design and care.
This collaborative approach has helped create a welcoming, supportive environment that not only meets the needs of tenants but enhances their quality of life. Every aspect of the scheme has been carefully considered to promote independence, wellbeing, choice, and inclusion, ensuring that tenants can continue to live fulfilling lives within a community designed around their needs and aspirations.
At Havelock Place, we are committed to delivering an exceptional living experience where people feel valued, supported, and empowered to maintain their independence for as long as possible.
Step-Down Care.
Step-Down Care provides a supportive environment that helps bridge the transition between hospital discharge and returning home. It is designed for individuals who no longer require hospital treatment but may need additional care, rehabilitation, or support before they are ready to live independently again.
Our Extra Care Scheme offers Step-Down Care as a temporary stay, providing a safe and comfortable place to recover both physically and emotionally following a hospital admission.
Step-Down Care is available as part of discharge planning, social care or other professional teams can get in touch about accessing Step-Down Care for patients.
