About the Role
Havelock is seeking a compassionate and motivated Volunteer Activity Enabler to support individuals in improving their cognitive skills, independence, and overall wellbeing. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, is patient, and is interested in using creativity and technology to make a positive impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Support individuals with cognitive improvement activities, tailored to their needs and abilities
- Encourage participation in meaningful, engaging activities that promote independence and confidence
- Incorporate technology (such as tablets, apps, or assistive tools) into activities to enhance learning and engagement
- Provide physical support when required, in line with Moving and Handling training
- Work alongside staff and other volunteers to create a positive, inclusive environment
- Maintain dignity, respect, and safety at all times
What We’re Looking For
- A caring, reliable, and patient individual
- Willingness to complete Moving and Handling training (Training Provided)
- An interest in cognitive development, wellbeing, or support work
- Basic confidence with technology, or a willingness to learn
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- No prior experience required just the right attitude
